On September 3, the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Committee teamed up with the Student Bar Association at the University Of Baltimore School Of Law to host a law student networking happy hour aimed at promoting law student membership in the BCBA. The event drew a large crowd of practitioners, law clerks and law students, who all got the chance to meet and mingle in the impressive courtyard at UB’s new law building. Attendees enjoyed delicious food and drinks provided by Ryleigh’s Oyster and Pessin Katz Law, P.A.
Dean Ronald Weich was on hand, and spoke to the students about the importance of joining the Bar Association early on in their law school career. He emphasized that students can take their career advancement into their own hands by joining the Bar Association and participating in the many networking and professional development opportunities it offers.
A number of UB Law students took Dean Weich’s advice to heart, and came out to the BCBA Inaugural Bar Year Kickoff Party at the Greene Turtle the following night to meet even more practitioners, judges and law clerks in Baltimore County.
Many thank to the University Of Baltimore School Of Law, Ryleigh’s Oyster and Pessin Katz Law, P.A. for making this event a success.
