Baltimore County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service Receives ABA Certification

Below you will find two .pdf files for downloading & printing. These files contain:

1. A registration form for participation in the Lawyer Referral Service, and
2. Updated rules for panel members fo the Lawyer Referral Service.

The Lawyer Referral Service Committee would like to thank each of you for the patience and support shown during the past years as we have worked to improve the program. The Committee has made a few changes this year, as well. These changes include two mandatory screening sessions in the Bar Associaiton Office.

Please note that the registration form has also been modified. You are now required to attach a copy of the cover page(s) of you professional liability insurance policy indicating the amount of coverage and the termination date of your policy.

Page 2 of the rules must be signed and returned to the Bar Office with your completed registration form and with a copy of the cover pages of your professional liability insurance policy.

In order to continue to participate in the program, it is necessary that these documents be received in the Bar Association Office not later than June 30th for participation in Lawyer Referral Service for the coming year.

As in the past, there is a $15.00 charge per panel, except where otherwise noted. There is also an annual advertising surcharge of $25.00.

If you sign up as a panel member of the Baltimore County Lawyer Referral Service, you will receive referrals based on case type and geographical location. We advertise this program in the Yellow Pages, and on our website through other service agencies.

Shifts are available to panel members where they can screen calls in two hour increments and take the case of their choice.

Any questions concerning the above information may be directed to Carol Otte at the Bar Association Office at (410)337-9102 or carole@bcba.org.
